Never Won Before? This Auction Is For You.
Rookie Auctions are available to BidManiacs who HAVE NOT yet won any auctions of any type on BidMadness.
If you are new to BidMadness and not made any bids yet, or if you have already placed bids on a Bonus Auction, Mania Auction or a Standard Auction and have not been fortunate enough to win anything then the Rookie Auction is designed especially for you!
The bidding rules for a Rookie Auction are exactly the same as a Standard Auction. The only difference is that to bid on a Rookie Auction you must have never previously won an auction on BidMadness.
What happens if I try to bid on a Rookie Auction and I have already won an Auction before?
If you try to bid on a Rookie Auction and you have previously won an auction, this pop-up window will appear when you try to place your bid:
Why Rookie Auctions?
We invented the Rookie Auction because we want to give as many members the opportunity to win at least one auction. The Rookie Auction guarantees that you will never bid against someone who has won an auction before, therefore increasing your chances of eventually becoming a winner!
Once you win a Rookie Auction you will also become ineligible to bid on this category again as you would have now graduated from Rookie to Professional.
So come on, there is no excuse for you not to have a go!
